Since our farm sits, almost literally, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, we can also offer the opportunity of day trips to towns and villages in both regions.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who love walking in the woods there are trails leading to various places of interest like, for example, Pierle Castle or indeed our own vineyard. These trails are of varying difficulty to suit a range of abilities and ambitions. Opportunities to just have fun are also plentiful ranging from local festivals and traditional events to a wealth of local cuisine to be sampled.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the largest lake in central Italy with three isles: Maggiore, Minore and Polvese. Its name reminds us of the famous battle of 217 B.C. between the Romans and Carthaginians. On its banks there are some nice villages: Passignano (20 km.), Tuoro (12 km.) and Castiglion del Lago (25 km.); the last one is famous for the ruins of its old castle<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
